Name : Darrell Givens

Position : RB

Class : 2028

Team : DMV Knights

Skinny :

Darrell Givens nickname is Flash and if you did not know it, trust after watching him play one game you would understand why. This phenom is the lead catalyst who led his team to the 2019 9u Ayf National Championship. Flash came in 2020 Ayf Nationals sharp as a thorn slicing thru defenses like hot butter. What stands out the most about this phenoms game is his vision & patience in a zone blocking scheme. Flash shows speed thru the hole not to it with a sick sense of making the right cut to open up a direct line to the endzone which he visited frequently. While the Knights fail short of back-to-back National Championships, Darrell “Flash” Givens was nothing short of spectacular racking up over 6 touchdowns in 3 games.

Name : Jon Ioane

Position : OL

Class : 2026

Team : OG Ducks 14u (CA)

Skinny :

When I think about the unthinkable and things that have never been accomplished. Big Jon Ioane comes to mind, something needs to be said about this phenom jumping from  11u to 14u. Big Jon not only made the jump but this kid anchored the line at Left Tackle dominating the competition. Ioane has the pure size and athleticism to play outside at the next level, as of now he looks comfortable at left tackle and holds up in pass protection. Ioane works past the line of scrimmage making big blocks on the 2nd level, but in the limited looks his footwork in pass pro, he has the reactive body quickness and comfort with his kick step to project favorably.

In short spaces, once Ioane gets his hands-on opponents and gets them turned, it’s all over, as he can keep his legs driving to finish plays. In that regard, his hand placement, upper body strength, and bending ability are all impressive and represent elements that make him such a highly regarded prospect.

Name : Kyree Wright

Position : LB

Class : 2025

Team : Heir Academy

Skinny :

If Johnny on the spot was a player Kyree Wright would be that guy, but it’s more than being on the spot it’s his instincts that puts him in position. Wright takes on blocks aggressively and physically, and is able to get off them quickly, despite not having great length. He seems to be very quick at reading the progression of the play and he diagnoses well. That goes for his tackling, too. Wright is a big hitter who is also a sure form tackler. He doesn’t try to knock out players at the expense of bringing them down. Wright showed up big in coverage which stuck out for me jumping in the passing lanes and intercepting two passes during AYF National. This kid has all the attributes to be pretty special if he continues to sprout up look for him to make a instant impact on the next level.

Name : Melvin Spicer III

Position : QB

Class : 2025

Team : Vegas Strong 14u (NV)

Skinny :

Melvin Spicer III is a player that isn’t the tallest or strongest, but in Football terms this kid is an absolute gamer that puts his team in position to win. Spicer is a good athlete and far from a statue in the pocket, when confronted with pressure he can make things happen with his feet. Where Spicer really shines is with his pinpoint accuracy, which allows him to fit throws into small windows. And for a prospect who is benefiting off of a breakout year, he appears remarkably polished in terms of his mechanics, from his solid footwork to his clean, crisp throwing motion. His good footwork and ideal sequencing with his front footstep allow him to maximize his arm strength to put significant velocity on his passes.

When it came time to make the big throws and spread the wealth around, Spicer was highly successful leading his team to a shot at the AYF National Championship on the 14u level. While Spicer team may have come up short on their goals, this kid certainly had himself a year that should build momentum for the next stage in his career.

Name : Miquan Gravely

Position : DB

Class : 2025

Team : Ginn Elite (OH)

Skinny :

Miquan Gravely may be more quick than he is fast, and he uses his instincts to jump routes and make game-changing plays. He has great recovery speed and relies on his ability to change direction to stay with wide receivers, step for step.

Here’s what’s interesting about Gravely: He’s also nice as a receiver which he shows flashes at, but AYF Nationals is where he separated himself from the pack. As a next level DB breaking up passes, not to mention pulling up to make touchdown saving tackles, he’s shown that he has great feet and does a solid job in one-on-one coverage. Gravely stock is now on the rise based on his play on the big stage.

Name : Dazjohn Taylor

Position : RB

Class : 2026

Team : Southside Ducks 12u (TX)

Skinny :

Dazjohn Taylor is an absolute blurrrrr with the ball in his hands all he needs is a crease and it’s off to the races. Taylor is a decisive runner who doesn’t waste steps in the backfield. He plants his lead foot, cuts and bursts forward with exceptional speed. He’s the rare running back who combines breakaway elite speed not to mention quickness with between-the-tackles power, that paid immediate dividends at AYF Nationals. Taylor had a slew of jaw dropping touchdown runs this kid is a walking human highlight reel. Look for Taylor to be amongst the top players going into 2021 year.

Name : Deshawn “Agap” Smith

Position : RB

Class : 2026

Team : Va. Beach Cavs 12u (VA)

Skinny :

A downhill back with deceptive speed that runs with excellent power and will jump over an ankle biting defender. Strong enough that defenders don’t want to take him on high. Smith can move the chains in a number of ways and is very flexible in skill-set…Flashes very good speed and acceleration. An instinctive runner and overall football player. A decisive and sharp cutter who can get thin through the smaller creases and accelerate through the first level of the defense. Very quick in and out of his cuts with great initial burst. Shows the vision, balance and suddenness finding and exploiting the in-line crease and can change speeds to elude in and out of traffic. Smith was very impressive leading his team to a strong finish.

Name : Dayjohn Moore

Position : DT/OL

Class : 2025

Team : Pines Elite 13u (TX)

Skinny :

Dayjohn Moore is a force as an Offensive lineman based on sheer strength alone, but defensive line is where this kid shows a elite skill-set. Moore is bigger than you would think…Does a good job of protecting his legs. Moore flashes the ability to come off the ball, shoot his hands, derive power from the hips, and stand a blocker up and hold his ground. Displays good natural strength, and he consistently brings his hands and stays low creating complete havoc. Moore did a good job all AYF Nationals of being able to slant across a blockers face and rip and get penetration. Moore has tremendous upside and is blessed with the measurables to go with it.

Name : Mikey Cota

Position : QB

Class : 2025

Team : West Texas Tigers (TX)

Skinny :

The savvy Dual-Threat Mikey Cota led his troops the West Texas Tigers 13u to the Ayf D-2 National Championship with his big-time play. Cota has just adequate height, but a frame that can add bulk at this stage. He is a quick-twitch athlete with deceptive speed and quickness for a QB. He operated an efficient spread offense that produced the most points in a scheme that heavily depended on their QB for designed Rpo plays. As a passer he has a sand-lot feel to him. He is super-competitive and he flicks the ball to short and intermediate areas of the field. Shows adequate accuracy, but like most gunslingers he loves that deep ball & post route which both were instrumental in bringing home the hardware. Cota’s decision making and leadership was a big reason the Tigers offense was the most explosive on the 13u level.

Name : Joey Gear

Position : WR

Class : 2026

Team : So Cal Trojans 13u (CA)

Skinny :

Joey Gear has only begun to tap into his potential as a complete player that was evident during his run at AYF Nationals. Gear is an elite deep threat with the rare ability to run by defensive backs deceived by his speed. He eats up cushions quickly and even if defenders do manage to stay with him, his leaping ability and ball skills render the good coverage irrelevant in the end.

A good route runner overall, Gear showed he can steam and weave defenders and also does a good job with his shoulder fakes to help him create separation. Changing speeds is another tactic that Gear uses to his advantage — he can come off the line of scrimmage slowly at times to lull defenders to sleep before creating separation with his burst. After the catch, he proved in one game he is just as dynamic with the ball picking up extra yardage. Strong hands and ball skills ensure that he comes down with the football when he has a chance. This Phenom has made a case to be considered the 1# WR in the class of 2025 with his impressive showing.

Name : Breyon Williams

Position : ATH

Class : 2026

Team : Watkins Hornets 12u (DC)

Skinny :

A jack of all trades Breyon Williams biggest asset is his versatility, his ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball was big for the 3-time National Champs. If lateral quickness at running back can translate to coverage ability, Williams is impressive with his change of direction, ability to turn the corner at a high speed, and lateral movement to get to the edge. In fact, there’s some pure running back skills in Williams’s game and it is not a stretch to imagine him as a high-impact player on the offensive side of the ball in High School. Williams made countless plays on offense from taking the toss from his wing back position churning out huge runs. Whatever was asked of this phenom he did it at a high level.

What is apparent is that Williams is also a defensive playmaker from press coverage to creating turnovers. His aggressive nature helps tremendously, but what really shines is his willingness to get physical with opponents. On one running play, Williams explodes through his lower body like an offensive lineman to pancake a Quarterback stripping the ball taking it for a score. The physicality translates to his tackling ability, too, as Williams is a solid striker overall. A growth spurt could help this kid solidify his stock moving on to the next level.

Name : Amari Wallace

Position : ATH

Class : 2025

Team : Miami Gardens Ravens (FL)

Skinny :

The pedigree has always been in place for this dynamic defensive back and athlete. Amari Wallace exudes confidence in his approach and exhibits world-class quickness, evidenced by his global prowess as a versatile X-Factor. Wallace has always been an extremely impressive productive slot receiver, so it is not a surprise to see him making plays as a defensive-back with a nose for the ball.

Wallace possesses excellent speed, good hands and an ability to make plays in zone coverage and one-on-one passing situations. He has great instincts and closing speed. Additionally, Wallace plays the game with a high IQ. That high IQ Wallace possesses yielded him two interceptions in the National Championship game securing his team’s victory.

Name : Chad Johnson

Position : QB

Class : 2028

Team : Southside Ducks

Skinny :

Chad Johnson is blessed with size and he uses it to his advantage which makes him one of the top young Quarterbacks in the country. Johnson led his team to the mythical 10u Ayf National Championship operating a wide-open fast pace offense. Johnson improvisational skills are advanced beyond his years, as seemingly lost plays routinely turn into significant gains with him at the helm. His pocket presence may be ahead of his time, specifically when he reacts to pressure by stepping forward or laterally with shoulders square and eyes downfield.

Some folks have pointed to his arm strength as a point of emphasis when evaluating Johnson, but he is young and ahead of the curve and still flashes enough power to lead receivers toward the end zone on deep routes at Ayf Nationals and can drill the ball into tight spaces. With so much more football to play for this youngster he is on the fast track to possibly being the top QB at his age group.

Name : Davion “Fat Rat” Brown

Position : ATH

Class : 2026

Team : TMT Rich City 12u (VA)

Skinny :

A prospect that used AYF Nationals as his coming out party is non other than TMT 12U Athlete Davion “Fat Rat” Brown. It is not easy to stand out at Ayf Nationals with over 200 teams, but Brown does so in a big way, starting with his speed, which allows him to easily pull away from opposing defenders in the open field. Perhaps more impressive is the fact that he can maintain most of that speed when he cuts, disrupting angles and allowing him to navigate through traffic. In fact, his ability to change directions is absolutely elite.

Brown likes to work downhill and he’s a no-nonsense runner who doesn’t sacrifice momentum in the name of attempting to give a defender a slick move, getting downhill quickly, but still showing the vision and lateral quickness to bounce runs outside when necessary, but only when dictated by his superior vision. While his team came up short “Fat Rat” came up huge stamping his name as arguably the top RB in the class of 2026.

Name : Taylor Richardson

Position : DL/OL

Class : 2025

Team : Gainesville Gators Elite 14u

Skinny :

With depth on his team Taylor Richardson put a lot of work in on the offensive line but watching him defensively you know that’s the part of his game that major upside resides. Richardson makes playing defensive tackle look easy. He’s a big, strong, elusive athlete who can either bully the offensive lineman or make moves around him. More than a space eater Richardson possess violent hands & strength that allows him to be a constant thorn in the offensive-line side.

Richardson is quick off the snap and deceptively fast. He’s a player who can be a game-changing lineman at the next level.

Name : Malachi Toney

Position : ATH

Class : 2026

Team : Washington Park 12u (FL)

Skinny :

Malachi Toney resume speaks for itself he has been performing at a high level since the 8u level. Every year Toney adds another weapon to his arsenal, 2020 it was showing off his skills as a receiver. Toney thrived at both receiver and Quarterback. His speed jumps out immediately, but what makes him special is his competitiveness. He raises his level of play no matter where you put him, and he makes every play count when the ball is in his possession. As good as he is at Quarterback, he is simply too electric to not have the ball in his hands rather it’s at Receiver or on the zone read this phenom makes things happen. Toney impressed me with his ability to get off the line of scrimmage and separate from speedy corners on deep routes. He is a natural at the receiver position and should continue his upward climb elevating his game to new heights.

Name : Kayden Samuelu Utu

Position : OL

Class : 2026

Team : Harbor Area Pilots 14u (CA)

Skinny :

Going into the 2021 season Kayden Samuelu Utu has thrown his name in that hat to be mentioned in the conversation as the top Offensive Lineman in the class of 2026. Utu does not depend on his raw strength, although he could easily rely and excel on that dimension alone. He takes technique seriously, displays excellent knee-bend for an athlete of his size and drives defenders downfield through the whistle. Utu is nice nasty with it, meaning he doesn’t talk much but between the lines his mission is to dominate the opposition driving guys in the ground or to the parking lot, as long his presence is felt by defenders. With a big 2020 year I’m locked in to see what Sam Utu will do for a encore in 2021.
