The season has officially kicked off for the nation and we are in for a treat. We get to witness some of the best student-athletes, play and mature right before our eyes. I’ll be highlighting different signal callers throughout the season. The goal is to showcase their growth and progression throughout each level of play.
Week 1–
Davis II is putting his skills on display for everyone to see. He works tirelessly in the off-season to achieve great things. A former Elephant, now turned Knight, his performance doesn’t waver.
Game breakdown:
160 yards passing, and one touchdown
10 Rushing yards
Final score 22-12 against former team Gainseville.
I had to honor of interviewing Brandon after the game. Here’s what he had to say:
Me:
This was your first game in the GFL, 8th grade. How are you feeling?
Brandon:
“The league was a new experience, but I’ve been a champion in Gwinnett, 2 years ago. Being back in Gwinnett felt like home”
Me:
That’s outstanding. Keep up the good work young man, I’ll be rooting for you.
Lawrenceville offers an amazing atmosphere where everything, from the food, to the cheerleaders, and the football, is pure excitement. As a standout athlete on the Georgia scene, Brandon has everyone ready to see what happens as the Black Knights gear up to face Buford this week. After a tough game with nine dropped passes last weekend, the stage is set, and Brandon and his team are ready to see how they’ll bounce back in this crucial matchup!
