Dayzon Evans

Class: 2033

Position: ATH

Team: Tricity Tribe (MI) 11U

Hometown: Detroit, Michigan

Dayzon Evans is a dependable, well-rounded playmaker whose game is built on efficiency, vision, and instincts. Operating with advanced patience in the backfield, he allows blocks to develop naturally before making sharp, decisive cuts—consistently uncovering running lanes others overlook.

At the second level, his controlled footwork and timing make him a problem in space, creating missed tackles and extending plays. He has enough burst to win the edge against linebackers and adds another layer to his game as a receiving threat out of the backfield, making him a true multi-dimensional weapon.

We evaluated Dayzon in person at the D1Nation x RNR Top 100 Combine in Arizona this past January. His performance earned a 3-star rating, but his game film showcased a higher ceiling.

Strengths

• High-level vision and decision-making in the run game

• Consistent production regardless of size

• Versatility across offense and special teams

• Proven ability to compete in all-star environments vs top talent

Development Focus

• Continue adding size and strength to enhance durability

• Increase exposure against top-tier weekly competition

Projection

Dayzon tracks as a versatile offensive weapon capable of impacting the game in multiple phases. As his physical development catches up with his natural instincts and field awareness, his ceiling continues to rise.

Thank you to all the athletes who filled out their forms for nomination. With the help of D1Nation Arizona we evaluated all the Arizona Submissions and these are the most impressive of the bunch. Again this is not a rankings and is in no solid order just a list of talented athletes.

Apollo Neloms

Stars | 3.5 ⭐️

Class | 2034

Height | 5’1

Weight | 102 lbs

Division | 9U

Team | Heir Academy

State | WA

Position | QB

IG | @Apollokingneloms

Apollo Neloms is a talented young dual-threat QB from the Heir Academy 9U squad out of Washington. We first got the opportunity to see him at the D1xRNR National Combine, where he put together an impressive performance. Apollo ran a 6.06 40-yard dash, posted a 5.56 shuttle, and recorded a 79-inch broad jump—strong numbers for a quarterback in the 9U division.

During positional work and 1v1s, Apollo showed the ability to deliver several pinpoint passes, impressing our scouts with both his arm talent and mechanics. He had already earned his invite to the Super Showcase prior to the combine, but his performance only confirmed why he deserved to be there.

At the showcase, we got to see Apollo begin to gel with teammates from across the country during practice, showing good leadership and command for a young quarterback. In the scrimmage, he delivered several well-placed passes that unfortunately resulted in drops, but his accuracy and ball placement were still evident on tape. The same trend continued during the game action, where flashes of his ability to place the football stood out.

One area we’d like to see Apollo continue to develop is game management and patience in the passing game. At times he looked to win the game with the deep ball, targeting downfield shots frequently. As he continues to develop, working the short and intermediate passing game will naturally open up those deep opportunities.

With his current skill set, competitive drive, and natural talent, Apollo Neloms has a lot of upside and is definitely a young QB to keep an eye on in the coming years.

Izhon Pugh

Stars: 4

🎓 Class: 2030

📏 Height: 6’2

⚖️ Weight: 185 lbs

🏈 Division: HS

🏫 Team: Westlake

📍 State: California

🎯 Position: OLB / WR

📲 IG: @izhon_pugh

Izhon Pugh, also known as “Tugg,” is a specimen out of California who already possesses a prototypical build for an incoming freshman. Standing 6’2 and 185 pounds in the Class of 2030, he has the type of frame that coaches love to get their hands on early and develop but his potential to be one of California’s Premier prospects is scary.

After studying his film, it’s clear this young man is a playmaker in the making. On offense, Pugh is dangerous on double moves and displays an impressive catch radius, allowing quarterbacks to simply put the ball in the air and trust him to make a play. Once the ball is in his hands, he becomes an immediate downfield threat who can do serious damage in open space.

What stands out most is how well he moves for a player with his size. He accelerates quickly, covers ground effortlessly, and has the agility to make defenders miss. His ability to generate yards after the catch (YAC) makes him a constant threat every time he touches the football.

Before diving into the film, Pugh was already sitting comfortably as a four-star prospect. But after reviewing his dominance, size, and playmaking ability more closely, he’s starting to push the envelope toward a 4.5-star caliber talent.

The only question mark right now is the level of competition. Some of the opponents around him don’t quite match the national-level talent we typically see at the top tier. However, his size, athleticism, and upside make him an intriguing prospect regardless of the environment.

Recently, Pugh committed to Westlake High School, where he is expected to contribute on both sides of the ball at wide receiver and linebacker. With his physical tools and natural playmaking ability, he has the potential to make an immediate impact at the high school level.

👀 Keep an eye on Izhon Pugh as he looks to develop into one of California’s next rising prospects.
