Top Performers Top Dawg

Name :  Tony “Dook” Brown

Position: ATH

Team :  West Orlando Jags (FL) 13u

Class : 2028

Skinny :

Tony “Dook” Brown of the West Orlando Jags is a player that doesn’t pick faces, listen anybody can get it. Brown is the ultimate competitor who seeks out the toughest challenges. Brown is a smooth athlete who is elusive in open space. As a receiver, he attacks the ball when it is in the air. He’s extremely polished route-runner, but with his top end speed he can also blow right by his opponent. Skilled & deadly with good hands you can tell by the way he lines up he means business. With his versatility to make plays in traffic or in space, Brown has a chance to become an equally elite DB. This X-Factor is a Football player and lays it on the line no matter where he lines up. Loose hips & active hands coupled with natural instincts, Brown has shown the ability to lockdown your go to Receiver. If it were an Overall Top Dawg MVP that honor would go to Tony “Dook” Brown he put on a show.

Name : Justin Green

Position: ATH

Team :  Louisville Dolphins (KY) 9u

Class : 2031

Skinny :

After watching the rise of the Bluegrass state X-Factor 2022 Justin Green it was little doubt he was one of the top RB’s in his class. Green decided to go in his bag Top Dawg and snatch the crown as one of thee Top athletes in his class. Let me explain, Green is under control while executing highlight-reel lateral cuts and accelerating toward open space. He without a doubt proved he is an elite Receiver. Green release off the line of scrimmage is ahead of the game and kids his age is at his mercy. Green put defenders in the blender when it came to creating separation, he then finished plays making acrobatic catches showing he can track the ball like no other.

His top-end speed is lethal for cornerbacks ill-equipped to handle a ferocious downfield charge. Green showed off that scintillating asset throughout the 1 on 1 sessions, averaging nearly a Td versus 75% of the defenders wasn’t a soul covering him. It’s a beautiful thing to see the youngster get developed at multiple positions as a scout it’s nothing more valuable than an Athlete you can plug at multiple positions.

Name : Jaylen Simeon

Position: WR

Team :  Royal Palm Beach Wildcats (FL) 10u

Class : 2031

Skinny :

If you made Top Dawg you definitely like that or have to prove it. The thing I love most about Royal Palm Beach Wildcats (FL) Athlete Jaylen Simeon is his Dawg mentality he talks it how he brings it. See, Jaylen plays QB to help his team but he is naturally a WR. The thing I covet the most is his quickness, which helped him rack up wins in the 1 on 1 sessions and 7 on 7 forcing defenses to account for him as a possible vertical threat on every down. Explosive, with a nice stride sets him apart from tight coverage downfield and he does an excellent job transitioning into a speedy ball-carrier upon completion.

His footwork off the ball enables him to gain separation and Simeon releases into space with sharp cuts. He displays the reliable hands and crisp route-running technique to develop into far more than just a long-toss threat in the coming years. If it was a secret it won’t be anymore Simeon is coming into his own as a WR look for an easy transition if his team finds a QB.

Name :  Daniel Terry

Position: QB (DUAL THREAT)

Team :  Tampa Irish (FL) 13u

Class : 2028

Skinny :

A highly competitive offensive leader, Terry endears himself to teammates with a fiery attitude. Terry isn’t the most physically gifted athlete in his class, he’s a high-effort competitor who can muster up plenty of zip on his passes and pick apart opponents in the intermediate range.

A strong lower body helps produce more power than you might expect upon first glimpse of the Tampa Area gunslinger. He’s diligent in working through progressions and patient enough to proceed in the pocket before delivering accurate, well-timed balls.

Terry exhibited excellent endurance during Top Dawg 7 on 7 action, which didn’t take into account the rushing abilities that allow him to escape pressure behind the line of scrimmage and occasionally carve up opponents beyond it. Top Dawg 7 on 7 showed off Terry’s ability to make all the throws as well as his composure in the pocket. This kid is cooler than thee other side of the pillow. If you’re familiar with this kid 2022 season you know he can run, now with his spring & summer run it’s-clear you will have to pick your poison with this Phenom.

Name :  Carter Cass

Position: WR

Team :  Treasure Coast Spartans (FL) 10u

Class :  2031

Skinny :

If there was a kid that stock soared at Top Dawg then it would be Treasure Coast Spartans (FL)  Carter Cass. Cass has that element of explosiveness which helped his 7 on 7 team dominance , which is probably the last thing we thought we would see. He flashes a highly effective stutter-step off the snap that expedites his release and places him a stride ahead as plays develop downfield.

His willingness to high-point the football in traffic earned plenty of attention from our camera guys & his teams quarterback who continuously threw 50/50 balls ahead as Cass fought for position and plucking difficult passes with desired effort. This Phenom arrived Top Dawg weekend keep an eye on this kid he has that ability to just make good things happen.

Name :  Genesis Allen

Position: DT/OL

Team : East Carolina Alpha Dawgs (NC) 13u

Class : 2028

Skinny :

Genesis Allen is the prime example of what happens when the talent matches the work ethic. At Allen’s age I love his size my dilemma was where did he have the most upside? Was it Offensive Line or Defensive Line? But rest assure his domination at Top Dawg showed he is good on either side. This kid unleashed his untamed dog mentality with an added chip on his shoulder. The physicality & bullish demeanor in which he displayed he could play for me any day.

Allen at first glance, looks like a tweener, but there’s a level of explosiveness that makes him an attractive pick as an Top Defensive tackle He’s a strong athlete who also plays with a quick first step. He can be a buzzsaw in the trenches, disrupting running plays and the timing of passing plays.
Allen plays with a motor and a level of physicality that may catch a larger offensive lineman off guard at first. He is fearless when he lines up in one-on-one situations. He’ll show his fearlessness early and often because he just one of those players that gives a 110% on every snap. His versatility makes him a huge asset for his team because what makes him a top D-Lineman makes him an even better Offensive Lineman. Folks this North Carolina native has arrived and if he keeps on developing you will hear his name for years to come.

Name : Cameron Fuse

Position: ATH

Team :  West Orlando Jags (FL)

Class :  2028

Skinny :

Crowned the top Athlete in his Class Cameron Fuse showed up to Top Dawg and shined. Fuse really came out and channeled his inner Sean Taylor & Ed Reed all in one. With the Size & athleticism of a Sean Taylor and Instincts of Ed Reed. Not the biggest day for Fuse offensively, but not all on him. In his defense his QB wasn’t on. But that didn’t stop him from showing 5-star potential as an DB/Safety. Fuse put the fear of god in QB’s in the 7v7 baiting them into thinking their guy was open, then taking it away with an interception or pass break up. I mention to the opposing team coach about an open WR, he responded saying “Naw Coach Cam was baiting us were going away from him. Now if that isn’t an X-Factor I don’t know what is.

At roughly  6’2”, 190 pounds, he’s fluid enough to play corner, but he has great long-term potential at safety. He’s a rangy, center fielder type who can cover a lot of ground while maintaining the kind of physicality that elite players at the position typically have. Cameron Fuse has the tools to be a 5-star at multiple positions this X-Factor is as advertised.

Name : Magic Kennedy

Position: WR

Team :  TME (FL)

Class :  2029

Skinny :

Magic Kennedy has long been known as a certified stepper since he laced up his cleats. He is known to put DB’s on skates as he shows off his elite route running ability. Magic appears to be further along in his progression as an all-around receiver than many but isn’t quite the physical freak as others. Physical stature is solid here and so is the speed, which enables him to turn loose at times.

Magic is a smooth operator off the snap and continues that refined approach as a play progresses. He’s a well-balanced pass target who can convert on deep throws in tight coverage or take a seven-yard slant the distance. Is there any DB in this X-Factors class that can guard him? I have yet to see it which should tell you why he is a shoe in at Top Dawg every year.
