Prospect Report | 2031 MLB Er’Dan “Rio” Yarborough out of MI

Player Evaluation: Jahleel Athey, Class of 2032 Dual-Threat QB

Jahleel Athey

Class: 2032

POS: QB Dual Threat

Team: 10U Tampa Tarheels

Ht: 4’9  WT: 100lbs

Jahleel Athey, a talented 10U quarterback out of Tampa, Florida, is already making waves as a dual-threat for the Tampa Bay Tar Heels. Standing at 4’9” and weighing 100 pounds, Jahleel demonstrates skills and poise that are well beyond his years. From the first glance at his film, it’s evident he receives focused quarterback training. His hip rotation, footwork, and follow-through on his throws show a level of precision uncommon for his age — credit to his dedication and training.

In a recent game against the Hardee Wildcats, Jahleel’s decision-making was impressive. He commands the intermediate to short passing game with consistency and accuracy, methodically working through defenses while showing occasional deep-ball capability. Against zone defenses, he’s notably patient and reads coverages well, showcasing a high football IQ. As a dual-threat, when the pocket collapses or his receivers are covered, Jahleel can escape with his feet and extend plays, allowing his receivers time to get open.

While his current height of 4’9” may pose challenges at the next level, Jahleel has been extremely successful at his age group. His natural skill, work ethic, and understanding of the game suggest he’s one of Tampa’s rising stars at quarterback, with plenty of potential to keep developing.

Player Spotlight: Reid Virostek,

Class : 2033

Position : DT/OG

Team : Westchase Colts

State : Florida

Ht: 5’4”  WT: 170

Reid Virostek, out of Florida, is redefining what it means to be a young powerhouse on the football field. Standing at an imposing 5’4” and weighing 170 pounds, this fourth-grader is a physical specimen who dominates both sides of the line. Reid’s size alone is intimidating, but it’s his strength and relentless playing style that truly make him a force. On the offensive line, Reid Virostek is an anchor, protecting elite quarterback JJ Kinser with tenacity. Unlike most players his age who may hesitate, Reid looks to finish every block, sending defenders to the ground and working seamlessly to the second level to clear paths for his offense. His strength and technique stand out as he stays engaged until the whistle, an impressive quality for a young lineman.

Defensively, Reid’s impact is just as striking. He’s relentless in breaking through blocks and crashing into the backfield, consistently disrupting plays before they can develop. His ability to shed blockers and get to the ball carrier is rare for his age, and it’s clear that Reid isn’t just playing the game — he’s mastering it. With his elite size, skill set, and dedication to improvement, Reid has firmly established himself as one of Florida’s premier athletes in the Class of 2033. There’s no doubt he’ll be a name to watch in the coming years as he continues to develop his game.

Player Spotlight: Lamar Lumpkin Jr., Class of 2032 Defensive Tackle

Class: 2032   Pos: DE, DT

Ht: 4’5   Wt: 133

Lamar Lumpkin is a standout Class of 2032 prospect hailing from Maryland, where he represents the Maryland Heat, a nationally recognized youth football program. This young defensive tackle has already shown he’s a difference-maker on the field, particularly along the defensive line. In his limited highlight footage, Lamar’s natural instincts and tenacity shine through as he relentlessly pursues the ball carrier, demonstrating impressive gap control and quickness off the snap.

Lamar isn’t just an impact player on defense; he’s also a versatile force on offense. Playing fullback, he powers through would-be tacklers, creating open lanes for his running backs with his physical style. In addition, he has shown his adaptability by warming up at quarterback, proving he’s willing to step into any role to benefit his team. Despite limited footage on his Instagram, it’s clear that Lamar has a deep love for the game and brings both intensity and athleticism to the field every snap.

One area to monitor will be Ford’s physical development. At 4’5”, he may face challenges playing at his current position if he does not experience a significant growth spurt. However, his current size and strength have been enough to stand out in youth football, and he has the versatility to either grow into the position or transition elsewhere on the field as he continues to develop.

Player Evaluation: Lebron Ford Jr. (Class of 2031) – Defensive Tackle – Ginn Elite 11U

Height/Weight: 5’0”, 140 lbs

Team: Ginn Elite (Ohio)

Evaluation:

Lebron Ford Jr., a standout defensive tackle for Ginn Elite, has steadily earned his reputation as a top prospect in the Class of 2031. Despite early honors on the RNR Top 100 watchlist, Ford continues to develop and refine his skill set, showing clear improvement in his pad level and technique since first entering the scene. His attention to detail and work ethic have positioned him as a key riser on the RNR list.

Ford’s biggest strengths lie in his quickness and anticipation. He has an exceptional ability to identify and exploit gaps along the offensive line, allowing him to disrupt plays at their source. His improving hand technique gives him the upper hand when shedding blocks, creating enough separation to limit the movement of opposing ball carriers. As he matures and consistently plays with a lower pad level, Ford has the potential to develop into a formidable interior pass rusher, leveraging his natural strength.

One area to monitor will be Ford’s physical development. At 5’0”, he may face challenges playing at his current position if he does not experience a significant growth spurt. However, his current size and strength have been enough to stand out in youth football, and he has the versatility to either grow into the position or transition elsewhere on the field as he continues to develop.

Outlook:

Ford is a relentless presence at the line of scrimmage with a bright future. If his physical tools continue to evolve, he’ll remain one of thepremier defensive players in his class. Even if a position change is necessary down the line, his quickness, instincts, and improving technique ensure he’ll be a force wherever he plays.
